Infographic: The history of the Chicago auto show

The Chicago auto show is the largest in North America, and for its 104th time around, we thought we would take a look at how it all started and at some of the major events sprinkled in between, with help from the Chicago auto show organizers.

The public show is held from Feb. 10 through Feb. 19 at the McCormick Place convention center, and in total nearly 1,000 different vehicles will be on display.

We are getting a sneak peek Feb. 8 and 9 during press days, so look for live tweets from the show floor using the @shopautoweek handle, and be sure to check back often for vehicle reveals and the latest news!
